Brooklyn’s Adsum is closing out a fruitful 2023 with another sneaker collaboration – this time reconnecting with Reebok.
The relationship between both East Coast-based institutions dates back to at least 2018. The New York City-based independent label teased a Reebok Pyro in June of that year. The pair marked the first time “Adsum” branding appeared alongside Reebok’s, introducing a whole new audience to the then-three-year-old imprint. The vintage running model was followed up by a Reebok Club C in September 2020, a pair that’s believed to have laid the groundwork for another Classics project between both brands.
On Saturday, Adsum published a clean photograph of a mistletoe above its and Reebok’s logos. As has become customary of the Pete Mcanee and Christian Rice-led team, the shot is tasteful and obscure, leaving savvy and casual spectators alike guessing as to what the final product looks like. It’s possible Adsum will launch another take on the Club C, but it could also reimagine other styles like the Classic Leather/Nylon, Trinity Premier, or Aztrek. Given the time of year and the brand’s push of its own Fall/Winter 2023 collection, it’s possible the pair teased with a mistletoe will fall in the range of the trail-ready Zig Kinetica 2.5. Whatever ultimately drops, it’s sure to be versatile, understated, and cool. (The pair unveiled was a Reebok Club C Mid version of its September 2020 collaboration).
As of this writing, Adsum has shared that its next Reebok collaboration will hit adsumnyc.com on Tuesday, December 12th, at 11am EST. Stay tuned for more details.
