Since stealing the show at Shanghai Fashion Week in 2018, Feng Chen Wang and Converse have worked mightily to deliver their deconstructed, super-imposed Chuck 70 to the masses. The infamous 2-in-1 sneaker is poised for a return this Spring 2024, this time arriving as a low-top Ox for the first time.
Keeping to the half classic/half destructed build with the enhanced midsole rubber, Feng Chen Wang adds a pre-dirtied treatment to further imprint a certain style that appears from a post-apocalyptic future. The deliberate choices result in a final product that is set to mimic a hand-made appeal, made from scraps found in piles of a desolate city.
Two color options are revealed — one in the classic Egret off-white shade, and a second that paints on a frog green. An official release date has been confirmed for February 6th, 2024 at select Converse retailers globally. Feng Chen Wang will make the shoes available in advance; sign up for notifications here.
