The Converse x Turnstile Collection Releases January 25th

Converse and punk rock aesthetics go hand in hand, the brand having released a variety of punk-inspired collections as recently as last year.

In a new collaborative effort, Converse taps Baltimore punk band Turnstile to produce unique iterations of two classic silhouettes; the Chuck 70 and One Star Pro. Both sneakers are inspired by Turnstile’s distinct aesthetic, featuring custom details inspired by their highly acclaimed Glow On album and aligned passion for skateboarding.

The “BLACKOUT” Chuck 70 sports an all-black canvas upper with a reflective orb graphic on the lateral side, perhaps a reference to the clouds on the Glow On album’s cover art. Underneath, the shoe boasts a translucent midsole that makes its way up to the rubberized toe cap.

The “ONLY ONE STAR” One Star actually features two stars on each side, ironically, with the cutouts revealing a sparkly pink texture underneath. The design on this pair is meant to embody the crossover between hardcore punk and skateboarding, given the silhouette’s favorability in skating circles.

The upcoming Converse x Turnstile collection releases globally on January 25th at converse.com and select retailers. In the meantime, enjoy official images below.
