The Nike Air Max 1 “King’s Day” Has Hidden Stow Pockets

Updated March 6th, 2024: Official photos of the Air Max 1 “King’s Day” have landed. Crucially, compared with our first looks, the new photos showcase a stow pocket on the tongue directly behind the Nike Air tag. Scroll just ahead for all the new photos.

The Nike Air Max 1 is the subject of a seemingly endless variety of color treatments and toolings, the Tinker Hatfield silhouette adopting a number of unique looks throughout its near 40-year existence.

The Beaverton brand’s next Air Max 1 delivery represents one of the more adventurous inline colorways we’ve seen in recent memory, boasting an intriguing mix of hunter-inspired colors as well as different materials on the upper. The shoe wears an orange mesh base akin to the hue of safety jackets, matched by identically colored accents on the Swoosh, laces, and eyestay. Brown leather encompasses the toe panel on this pair, transitioning into orange canvas as you approach the quarter, while an abstract debossed pattern makes its way onto the heel. Underfoot, the design wears a dark brown midsole complemented by a lighter colored outsole to complete the shoe.

This pair has already begun making its way to retailers, but no word has been mentioned regarding a wider Nike.com release.
