Andrew Rizzo Salomon has emerged as one of the footwear industry’s hottest up-and-coming brands, helping define trending sneaker aesthetics through the continued success of its XT-6 model.
Now focused on Spring 2024, Salomon debuts the XT PU.RE ADVANCED, an upgraded take on the XT-6 that sees an array of utilitarian yet fashionable additions. Three colorways celebrate the model’s rollout; one black, one white, and one brown.
Eyes are first drawn to the new model’s external TPU cage, building on the XT-6’s wavy overlays in imposing fashion while adding structure and support. The base layer appears to be slightly thicker than that of the XT-6, enhanced by a leather toecap and forefoot detailing, while the sole unit takes on a whole new build. There, Salomon outfits the PU.RE ADVANCED with a bulkier midsole complete with a TPU mudguard, joined with the cage above for a cohesive look.
While the XT PU.RE ADVANCED has yet to make a true first impression, news of the model’s arrival poses speculation on if it could someday replace the XT-6 as Salomon’s most celebrated shoe. The upgrades referenced above only further align the XT series with today’s fashion trends, and the aesthetics that propelled Salomon’s rise are still very much on display.
