The low-top Weapon cut gets a heavy material makeover.

A-COLD-WALL* Debuts The Converse Weapon Ox’s First Collaboration

Converse is pulling out all the stops to ensure its revival of the Converse Weapon is successful, delivering an exclusive Lakers colorway and tapping NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for a throwback ad campaign in recent weeks. Another new development has been the introduction of the Weapon Ox, the 1986-born shoe’s low-top counterpart. Now, Converse grants the Weapon Ox its very first collaboration, calling on a familiar face in A-COLD-WALL* in an effort to give the new model an even bigger push.

Seen here via official images, ACW applies it’s renowned industrial design aesthetic to the up-and-coming silhouette. The shoe embarks on an exploration of material treatments in the absence of unique color blocking, draped entirely in crinkled grey nylon and suede aside from red lining up top. Gone are most of the Ox’s eyelets, reduced to just three on each side in a familiar design choice by the London-based collaborator, while accent stitching splits the Converse logo in two on the quarter. Co-branded ACW x Converse detailing polishes off the look, appearing notably on the tongue, quarter, and medial suede heel paneling.

The Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Weapon Ox will first release on a-cold-wall.com on March 11th alongside an apparel capsule, soon followed by a wider Converse drop on March 14th. In the meantime, enjoy a close-up look below.

In other Converse collab news, check out the Stüssy x Chuck 70 pack set to arrive on March 8th.
