Sneaker News Updated May 22nd, 2024: Retailer images have just arrived of the Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder.” True to earlier first looks and in-hand imagery, the shoe continues the tone-on-black color blocking scheme that began with 2006’s OG Jordan 4 Thunder, continuing with the “Red Thunder” edition from 2022.
Spotlighting pure white accents also ushers the shoe into a lineage of alongside the “Military Black,” already a highly sought after pair just a few years after its introduction. The Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder” continues a short series of colorways inspired by a 2006 classic – the black/yellow Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”. Officially marking the third chapter of this series, this black/white pairing offers up a pleasantly uncomplicated colorway for Air Jordan 4 fans to add to their collection of the 1989 model.
This detailed gallery revealed by @sneakerknockerzllc on Instagram provides the best look yet at this Fall 2024 release; full black nubuck suede uppers are matched on the interior lining, tongue, plastic wings, and netting, while an opposing white appears on the midsole, lace eyelets, and the base of the mesh. It’s a clean-cut and versatile colorway that should be one of the more popular Retro releases in the month of August at the peak of the Back To School shopping season.
