The New Balance 9060 is slowly creeping towards being a defining shoe of the current era. It’s early, yes, but the shoe’s popularity and the continued excellence of its in-house designs warrants at least starting that conversation. That said, sometimes the model’s construction can be left to speak for itself, a selling point for the upcoming New Balance 9060 “White/Navy.”
Given the model’s reliance on suede across its previous editions, the first thing that stands out with the pair at hand is the tumbled leather than runs over its profile. While it isn’t the first time, the entirely suede-less composition is nonetheless still worthy of note, helping here to emphasize the silhouette’s wide configuration and imbue more vintage appeal. To that point, the almost-indigo shade of navy combined with dominant neutrals elsewhere makes for a bonafide “dad shoe” colorway, a lean furthered by the aged off-white midsole.
