Perforated leather defines the look.

“University Blue” Touches A Sporty Nike Air Force 1 Low

Aside from black and red “Chicago” palettes, Nike’s UNC-born “University Blue” might be the most recognizable shade in the brand’s color wheel, especially on legacy models with hardwood heritage. An upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low slated for Summer 2024 features just a small splash of that titular hue, made unique by thoughtful details that produce more sporty ties.

The pair’s most notable hallmarks present on the Swoosh and tongue, both treated with perforations that mimic the look of traditional basketball shorts. The Swoosh wears “University Blue” leather with grey piping and an “AF-1” tag on the lateral side, while the tongue matches the laces with a more fitting grey mesh textile. Otherwise, grey overlays complement white leather at the toe box and quarter to round out the look.
