Kiko Kostadinov + ASICS remains one of the best relationships the Japanese imprint has in its arsenal. Bringing his high fashion sensibilities to ASICS’ ever-impressive roster of tech runners has been a winning formula for years now, and there’s no signs of their collaborative canon slowing down. The latest to fall under the Kiko Kostadinov Design Studios umbrella is the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC, dropping next month in two colorways.
As with their previous work, the newest iteration in Kostadinov x ASICS builds on the foundation of a previously established model. While much of the GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC construction remains in place, a few changes refract the shoe into a fresh design. Most notably, a looping pull tab is tacked onto the tongue, adding both functionality and a dash of future tech appeal. Additionally, the upper is tweaked, with the lateral ASICS logo now stretching to connect with the collar. Switching up that branding section opens up the back of the upper, ceding the ventilated mesh now spanning from toe to heel across the counter.
The new formulation arrives in two characteristically techy colorways, olive & green and navy & purple. Both pairs are expected to drop on May 10th via ASICS channels, retailing for $250 a pop. You can get a closer look via official images embedded below.
In other runner news, the New Balance 993 “Purple Suede” and New Balance 993 “Chive” highlight the next MADE in USA drop on May 2nd.
