Andrew Rizzo Updated July 9th, 2024: A release date for the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eggplant” has been made public: February 8th, 2025.
Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers have helped fuel a stacked 2024 release calendar, and we’re already hearing word about several pairs scheduled for next year.
According to @zsneakerheadz and @sneakerfiles, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eggplant” releases in 2025. The unofficial mock-up above illustrates what the shoes could look like, but the exact “Eggplant/Black/Metallic Gold” color blocking remains a mystery for now. Perhaps the design will take after the Kobe 5 “Ink” that released in 2010 given that pair’s use of dark purple, but official images will provide a definitive answer as we creep closer to a release.
