Matt Varga With Y2K trends still going strong, ASICS has been a massive beneficiary, the rising tide of that wave breathing life into their full range of tech runner styles. The ASICS GT-2160 may get more collaborative attention, but the ASICS GEL-1130 continues to offer up strong inline colorways that strike the same chord. That’s never been more true than with the upcoming women’s ASICS GEL-1130 “Silver Pack.”
Each pair in this collection sticks pretty solidly to the trendy script established over the past few years: wide mesh, metallic overtones and an off-white sole. The chosen accent shade for each of these shoes peeks through the chrome leather overlays, as well as tinting the rear GEL unit and the outsole. Pastel green, blue and pink take the lead on each of the three, adding a ton of extra liveliness for any summer wardrobe.
All three pairs in the ASICS GEL-1130 “Silver Pack” drop May 16th via Foot Locker, commanding a $95 retail price. A wider ASICS release is expected but hasn’t yet been announced.
