Whether you chalk it up solely to Travis Scott shoes or credit multiple sources, earth tone colorways are here to stay. Just over a year after its introduction, the ASICS GEL-NYC is as well, quickly becoming a sell-out model for the Japanese giant even in its GR releases. Taking the chance to combine the two, official images of the ASICS GEL-NYC “Mocha” arrived ahead of the shoe’s June debut.

Blending beige and obligatory chrome up top, this pair begins in pretty familiar territory. The titular coffee hues come into play almost exclusively in the lower half, imparting a “dipped” kind of vibe gracing the midsole and suede mudguard. Given how past editions have embraced either a two-tone or tri-tone sort of arrangement, this split configuration treads alone into some new aesthetic territory. A handful of modest “Baby Blue” hits makes this colorway even more unconventional, yet affix some vibrancy to an otherwise neutral profile.

The ASICS GEL-NYC “Mocha” is expected to drop in June, carrying the usual $130 MSRP. Scroll below for a gallery of official images.

Looking ahead on the Sneaker Release Dates calendar, the clog company is set to take over with the back-to-back Naruto Crocs and Crocs Juniper drops.
