Even in a crowded field, sharing tech runner space with the ASICS GEL-Kayano and the New Balance 1906R, Nike’s Zoom Vomero 5 has emerged near the top of the category. Heavy doses of silver and grey continue to prove the most successful formula for the model, so why not revisit that well? The newest Nike Zoom Vomero 5 pulls radiant “Pure Platinum” into that undeniable blueprint.

This layout is largely “playing the hits;” you get the blend of mesh, leather and suede, a faux-aged midsole and spotlighted light grey tones. The 3M Swoosh serves as the true centerpiece given the tonal treatment elsewhere, acting some reflective pop into the equation. Though this certainly isn’t Nike reinventing the wheel, with how popular the Vomero 5 has become, they probably don’t need to. This edition of the Y2K runner utilizes the same composition that’s brought it so much success, and gives the public another opportunity to get in on its rise in another accessible look.
