Call the biggest Messi fan you know; Inter Miami and adidas are linking up for more collaborative footwear, delivering South Beach takes on the adidas Samba and adidas Gazelle.
Lionel Messi’s transition to MLS has paved way for new adidas Originals collabs that thrive off the strength of Messi association, an opportunity that wasn’t greatly explored during the adidas athlete’s short stint playing for Paris Saint-Germain, a Nike-sponsored club.
We’ve already seen the release of an adidas Handball and two adidas Samba colorways taken after team colors, but this latest delivery speaks to the hallmark palette of South Beach with a steadfast embrace of blue and orange pastels. Naturally, locals are bound to spot the clear alignment with Miami Dolphins colors, tying in with a “football” club of a different variety.
Both shoes feature the same materials as traditional GR pairs, made unique only by brief instances of Inter Miami x adidas co-branding. The Samba wears a stitched-on tongue label complete with the club’s crest, while the Gazelle boasts gold, Miami Vice-like “MIAMI” text on the heel.
Both pairs are currently set to release on June 15th via Foot Locker, with the Samba priced at $100 and the Gazelle costing $110. Enjoy detailed images of each pair below and reference our “Where To Buy” sections ahead for direct purchase links. No adidas.com release date has been floated at the time of this writing.
