“Candle White” Engulfs The Platformed Nike Air Max 90 LV8

Though experimental touches are everywhere in the Nike catalog, 2024 has brought a slew of changes to the vaunted Air Max line; the Air Max 90 Drift, Air Max Plus Drift and Air Max 97 Futura just a handful of the new innovations. Those new imaginings almost make the Nike Air Max 90 LV8 look conservative by comparison, especially when it’s clad in universally appealing pastels for its latest “Candle White” edition.

In the titular off-white is where this shoe finds its footing, resulting in a flowing atmosphere that’s further explored elsewhere in the palette. Notes of soft seafoam green dominate the quarter in a translucent swatch. Complementary orchid hues settle just below, resting on the mudguard and outlining the dual air bubbles in the midsole. While the delicate colors utilized here are usually synonymous with spring, the bright outfit is a match for warm weather in general, fitting for this Summer/Fall arrival.
