If things develop as indicated by Nike, the Beaverton brand will reduce mainline stock of lifestyle icons like the Air Force 1 and Dunk Low and focus on “upgraded” offshoots, one being the women’s-exclusive Dunk Low Twist. It’s a strategy that hones in on niche fashion sensibilities rather than broad consumer preferences, all in an effort to appeal more directly to the smaller segments that comprise the sneaker world as a whole.
With eyes towards summer, Nike revisits the Dunk Low Twist in a new “Glacier Blue” colorway that’s perfectly in-tune with the fashion sensibilities that go hand-in-hand with warm weather. The design begins with crisp white leather at the base, decorated by “Glacier Blue” overlays and icy, semi-translucent TPU on the Swoosh, toe, and heel. While Peter Moore’s original silhouette still shines through, an oversized tongue, padded collar, and semi-detached Swoosh revamp the iconic design through a somewhat avant-garde lens.
The Nike Dunk Low Twist “Glacier Blue” is expected to hit retailers in Fall 2024 (which begins in July) for $125, just in time for summer. Enjoy official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to see more upcoming Nike drops.
