Pickleball has quickly become one of the trendiest casual sports of the modern era, and as such, all the biggest sneaker brands have met consumer demand by releasing special sneakers tailored to the activity. While most Pickleball shoes are generally thought of as outlet specials, Reebok might be poised to break the mold with its latest new model. The UK brand is set to introduce the Reebok Nano Court in June 2024, fusing Pickleball utility with Reebok tennis shoe DNA in a development that might just raise the bar for the pickleball footwear niche as a whole.
Most pickleball shoes are simply re-worked (or re-branded) tennis sneakers – an easy enough assignment for most, but an absolute cakewalk for Reebok. The UK brand has a rich history when it comes to such on-court hardware, and given the brand’s recent embrace of archived trainers and tennis shoes, it’s well poised to draw eyes from all those in need of pickleball footwear.
While Reebok could have easily re-tooled and re-issued one of its many retro tennis shoe for Pickleball, the Nano Court actually presents as a court-ready take on the brand’s Nano trainer series. The upper is comprised of a durable FLEXWEAVE knit textile and features a ToeTection guard in the forefoot, protecting from toe drags on the court. Down below, pickleballers get great traction via a GRIPTONITE rubber outsole and premium cushioning through a Floatride Court midsole.
To mark the rollout, Reebok has crafted an applaudable eight-pack featuring four vibrant, retro-inspired colorways alongside four “traditional” looks centered around black, white, and gum treatments. Moreover, the campaign highlights Reebok athlete and professional pickleball champion Hurricane Tyra Black, a glowing endorsement of the utility behind the design.
All eight colorways are set to release in unisex sizing for $120 via reebok.com on June 20th. Scroll through all the options below ahead of the drop and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview other upcoming Reebok releases.
