Original article posted June 13th, 2024: As the new shoe sheen comes off of the Nike Air Max Dn and it becomes a bonafide mainline offering, we’re starting to get a sense of what looks the “Dynamic Air” shoe will major in. As of now, the shoe has primarily leaned into colorful or nocturnal outfits, which makes the just-unveiled Nike Air Max Dn “Olive” all the more interesting.
It’s a full embrace of the tonal with this colorway, blending together every manner of military green Nike has in their arsenal. Broadly speaking, it’s a staggered shift from light to dark as you work top to bottom; “Dark Stucco” paints the patent leather toe cap, the sole & graphic foxing, “Olive Aura” takes up the woven upper and “Neutral Olive” centers the design on the sockliner & laces. Given how pairs like HUF Air Max 1 prove there’s plenty of demand for neutrally shaded pairs, it’s no surprise that this curveball of a colorway yields results for the Air Max Dn.
The Nike Air Max Dn “Olive” is set to release in the coming months as we work into Fall ’24. Expect a $160 retail price.
