Safari print lands delicately on the upper.

Ja Morant Will Have To Wait Four Years For Team USA, But The Nike Ja 1 Won’t

Whether it was due to a late season shoulder injury or classic snub, Ja Morant was left out of the initial 30-player selection pool for Team USA ahead of the Olympics this year. But hey, nothing’s stopping the Nike Ja 1 from dressing up for the occasion regardless.

Clad in patriotic red, white, and blue, the Ja 1 “USA” has surfaced in tandem with a new KD 17 colorway of the same design theme, comprising a wave of new signature Nike Basketball looks in honor of the international competition. While Nike appears to be relying heavily on safari print to distinguish its Olympics pairs this year, as seen on the aforementioned KD 17 and upcoming SB Dunk Low Olympic Safari, the pattern is almost invisible here. Muted safari print treatments adorn leather panels on the forefoot, mudguard, and spine, although you wouldn’t know it from a distance.

Pairs are currently expected to touch down in Fall 2024 (which begins in July) for $120; the standard MSRP for all mainline Ja 1 colorways. Enjoy official images below and revisit our Sneaker Release Dates page for updates over the next few weeks.

Sticking with the Swoosh, check out the latest LeBron 21 colorway.
