Just a few days after we got a release date for the Nike Foamposite One “Royal” (September 13th) following months of anticipation, there’s more good news ahead; especially for parents. On top of the adult size run, Nike plans to release the Little Posite in identical makeup.
It’s always been a bit odd that the Little Posite is regarded as its own shoe, but to the uninformed; it’s essentially a shrunk-down kids version of the Foamposite One. While both these and adult pairs share a “Royal” nickname, there are inconsistencies in the official color palettes. The adult version lists the color as “Dark Neon Royal” while the Little Posite is labeled as “International Blue.” Regardless, the colors and color blocking are exactly the same across all sizes.
The return of the “Royal” colorway stands as one of the most significant Foamposite drops in recent memory, right up there with the Foamposite One “Eggplant” that retro’d earlier this year. Clad in Orlando Magic colors, the design speaks to the earliest days of the Foamposite line with a nod to Penny Hardaway, who helped drive the shoes into mainstream consciousness. Looking ahead, there’s another big retro on the horizon in the Galaxy Foamposites pegged for Spring 2025.
Steering focus back the the “Royal” colorway, the Little Posite One will be made available in Grade School ($190), Pre-school ($105), and toddler sizes ($77). We’ve yet to hear of a firm release date, but the most likely scenario is that all sizes drop in lockstep with the adult pair on September 13th. In any case, know that our Sneaker Release Dates page will be kept current with the latest available info.
