Official Images Of The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Barons”

In 1994, Michael Jordan shocked the world by temporarily retiring from basketball and suiting up for the Birmingham Barons in pursuit of a professional baseball career. Jordan Brand marked the 20th anniversary of that monumental shift with the Jordan 1 High “Barons” in 2014, and now ten years later, the same team-inspired design theme appears on a fresh AJ1 Low.

Clad in black, white, and grey leather in lockstep with Birmingham Barons uniform colors, the design draws its appeal by evoking a memorable era in Air Jordan history in lieu of flashy details. Unlike the aformentioned high-top, the shoes feature solid grey lining as opposed to black/grey pinstripes. Additionally, official images showcase plain black laces instead of the dual-tone flat rope ones that came with the 2014 pair.

Associations aside, you’d hard pressed to find a more agreeable Air Jordan 1 Low colorway. With summer on the horizon and low-top heat taking the streets by force, the delivery communicates niche Jordan Brand heritage through a versatile palette that’s valid year-round.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Barons” drops July 20th, 2024 for $140 in men’s sizing. Enjoy official images below and reference our “Where To Buy” section for shopping links upon the shoe’s release.
