Following a controversial string of releases from May to June, the Action Bronson New Balance 1906R collection is set to release again on July 12th via NB.com and select associated channels, both pairs retailing for $180. The “Scorpius” lime green edition, consistently referred to by Bronson himself as the most limited of the three, will remain exclusive to the earlier specializinginlife.com launch.
NewBalance.com is set to be the premier source for this release, but select retailers will also have stock, a bulk of them outside of the US (e.g. SNS, Above the Clouds, etc.) If you’re hoping for a second chance at either the “Rosewater” or “Medusa Azul,” check our “Where To Buy” widget embedded below for a full store list. Below that, you can catch official images of both shoes and our original coverage surrounding this re-issue.

Original article posted July 2nd, 2024: As we hit the midpoint of 2024, preliminary “sneaker of the year” conversations are beginning to pick up. Though there’s still plenty of time for high-profile pairs down the line to enter the conversation, an early contender for top 3 placement is the Action Bronson New Balance 1906R, captivating NB fans with back-to-back-to-back drops in a short span from May to June.
With some controversy around the earliest two of those drops, there’s a decent chance you’re still hunting on the grey market for Bam Bam’s offerings. We’ve got some great news if so; the “Medusa Azul” & “Rosewater” editions are set for wide release on July 12th. The inclusion of just 2 of the 3 colorways lines up with Bronson’s earlier statements, claiming that the “Scorpius” would be the most limited of the collection.
The “Rosewater” New Balance 1906R is easily the most eye-catching, pasting semi-translucent overlays atop a blend of purple & orange vibrant accenting. The “Medusa Azul” iterates on colorways that announced the Queens rapper as a true mover in footwear, blending together the tonality of both the “Baklava” and “Lapis Lazuli” New Balance 990v6 from 2023.
Retail for both of these Action Bronson New Balance pairs is set at $170. Based off of previous launches, NewBalance.com is your safest bet for this drop, but distribution through additional retailers is likely.
