New Balance is ready to make its presence known in Paris during the upcoming Olympics Games with a one-time-only MADE In USA capsule launch at the heart of the city.
On July 26th, the New Balance flagship in Le Marais will open its doors to a curated space within the store containing a limited edition New Balance 990v6 and New Balance 997. This marks the first time the 997 model has been released under the revamped MADE In USA line since Teddy Santis’ appointment as Creative Director roughly three years ago.
The New Balance 997 is reintroduced bearing a number of premium, high-class details and materials. A French luxury aesthetic is apparent via the tan leathers, buttery suedes, and a satin-like interior lining in red. Finished off with a golden surface texture on the upper eyelet panel, this New Balance 997 MADE In USA Paris Exclusive is the perfect way to re-insert the model to the market.
The New Balance 990v6 bears a similar colorway, although heavier on the brown. A dark mocha suede covers the outer mudguard and lace collar, while a camel brown appears via the perforated inlays. A light tan beige appears on the sporty mesh, matching the aptly colored midsole. The same red satin interior lines the silhouette for a unbridled levels of comfort.
In addition to the two sneakers, New Balance will also launch two limited-edition Paris-inspired t-shirts. The shirts and the shoes will be available beginning on July 26th at New Balance Le Marais for one time only; no restocks are expected in the future. The space itself also feature bespoke furniture created by architect Franck Pelligrino.
