Even if the Air Max Dn‘s true spotlight moment is a couple months in the rear view, Beaverton is still putting a ton of energy behind Dynamic Air. Much of it in recent memory has been under the guise of the Olympics, printing red, white and blue on the model in a host of different configurations. Just adjacent is the latest colorway to hit the ‘net, a revival of everlasting red, white and black.

Many have already noted the Dn’s similarity to the Air Max Plus (see the midsole design and Dn branding), but in recent looks, that’s only become stronger. The gradient pattern from white to red is a strong indicator of how designers have taken cues from Sean McDowell’s design. The shoe here features a harder break in its ombre, while also pasting a few mini Swooshes across the medial & lateral sides. With the Air Max Dn continuing to champion Nike’s latest & greatest comfort tech underfoot, the amenable palette here could be an easy opportunity to test its performance.

Though the swap from navy to black outlining the middle of the midsole means this is a less demonstrably patriotic edition, this shoe is essentially a palette swap of the Air Max Dn “Olympic.”

This Nike Air Max Dn SE drops on August 1st, retailing for $170. Enjoy official images embedded just below our “Where To Buy” section.
