The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 Electrifies In “Volt”

Hoopers from across the world are ready to convene on Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, and while there are plenty of storylines and compelling matchups worth following, our focus will of course be on footwear. The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 looks to be a popular choice among sponsored athletes, worn notably by the likes of Tyrese Haliburton, Jrue Holiday, and a laundry list of other pros both inside and out of the US.

Now that “Olympic” colorways have already released, including a red, white, and blue pair and safari print mix, it’s time for the GT Cut 3 to resume its regularly scheduled programming. Next up; an electrifying “Volt” edition.

One of the most regularly visited colors in Nike’s wheelhouse, the titular hue floods essentially the entire sneaker. Notably, the rubber forefoot structure opts for a slightly more neon shade, which then transitions into a midsole gradient. Otherwise, we see black Swoosh logos and heel branding complemented by subtle instances of gold on the tongue, the latter of which is standard across most colorways.

While not necessarily a bargain at $190, the GT Cut 3 lives up to its MSRP with carefully considered performance features. Flywire cables provide stability, a herringbone outsole provides applaudable traction, and ZoomX foam delivers elite comfort and energy return; one of two models to boast the next-gen cushioning system alongside the new Air Jordan 39.

Look for this “Volt/Black” colorway to drop via Nike and retailers during the Fall 2024 shopping season.
