New Balance’s basketball division is truly ratcheting things up as of late. On top of The Klaw’s KAWHI IV and the Tyrese Maxey endorsed Hesi Low v2, additional 2024 developments like the New Balance Fresh Foam BB v2 continue to shine as renewed energy surrounds the Hoops sub-brand. Diverging from Boston’s usual neutral shades, the silhouette takes to “Cyber Jade” for its latest look.

The titular coloring is matched by neon green accents throughout the midsole, pairing the BB v2’s performance tooling with a statement footwear atmosphere. Jet black outlines at the heel and toe-box help to break up an otherwise monochromatic profile and outline them in the process, helping to make the overall look become that much more impactful. For the uninitiated, “comfort meets performance” endures as the model’s claim to fame, with the interior of the Fresh Foam midsole offering a plush ride, gradually becoming sturdier as you work out from the center to ensure stabilization.
