Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS continues to be one of most formidable duos in the sneaker industry. What began as a traditional brand-collaborator relationship in 2018 has evolved into so much more, with the Bulgarian designer taking reign of ASICS Sportstyle in 2020, a moment in time that coincides with ASICS’ modern popularity spike.

The purpose of the partnership has been to create new premium models, and that’s exactly what we’ve gotten. In fact, we’ve also gotten new models based on other new models that have debuted in the Kiko x ASICS era. One such shoe, the NOVALIS GEL-Styrax Mule, was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and now appears set to launch in the near future.

Tooled as a slip-on version of the NOVALIS GEL-TEREMOA, which first released in late 2023, the GEL-Styrax Mule features the same sole unit but a vastly re-imagined upper as one might expect. The base of the shoe is comprised of woven synthetic material, with oversized ASICS branding pasted on the lateral side. The rollout selection consists of an icy blue/silver colorway and earthy maroon/green mix, and there’s also a black pair on the horizon.

Pairs dropped exclusively via Notre a few days ago, but both options are also expected to release globally through ASICS channels in August for $250 each. Stick with us while we stay on lookout for all the latest available info.
