It’s been six months since adidas unveiled the Dame 9 back at NBA All-Star Weekend, but it still remains to be seen exactly when the next Dame Lillard shoe will land. However, recent developments suggests the new model is set to launch sooner rather than later. We glimpsed a second upcoming Bape x Dame 9 collaboration earlier this month, and now we’re getting a detailed look at the pair Dame broke out for the playoffs back in April.
First showcased alongside similar colorways of the Anthony Edwards 1 Low, DON Issue #6, and Harden 8 in a coordinated display of signature adidas Basketball product, the Dame 9 “Playoffs” features purple leather around the base, black knit material up top, and a soothing sunset gradient on the heel portion of the midsole. Technical specifications haven’t been made public yet, but aesthetically speaking, the model represents a pretty significant departure from the preceding Dame 8. The mid-top height remains the same, but much like its aforementioned adidas hoops counterparts, there’s more emphasis on distinct layers.
The Dame 9 is currently expected to arrive Fall/Winter 2024, although adidas hasn’t floated a release date for any of the pairs surfaced thus far. Know that this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub will display all the most recent information as it comes in.
