Sneaker News August 16th has been circled on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s calendar for some time now, because his sixth signature shoe will be unleashed to the public for the very first time. Nike has atypically prepared quite the assortment of colorways on the launch date; in addition to the “Roses” colorway, several other Freak 6 options will be up for grabs on the morning of the 16th.
One such pair is this kids-exclusive version dubbed the “Olympic Origins”. Aligning with Giannis’ mighty showing in Paris and his upbringing in Greece, this Freak 6 option is a timely nod to the NBA MVP and Champion as he embarks on a journey back to the promised land. The upper sticks to an Armory Navy, while touches of University Gold arise on the over-sized Swoosh and tongue. Additional applications of Cosmic Clay red and Denim Turquoise round out the overall colorway.
