Ideal for long runs.

New Balance Launches NYC Marathon Edition Of The SuperComp Elite v4

New Balance and New York Road Runners formed a partnership in 2016, and runners have been able to count on special footwear designed to commemorate the New York City Marathon every year since. With this year’s marathon set for November 3rd, the Boston brand just released a special edition colorway of its tentpole race day shoe alongside an expensive apparel and accessories collection.

The FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4 sports “Cyber Jade” and “Hi-pink” makeup for the occasion, with blurred quarter branding meant to evoke the melting pot of runners that convene on the big apple every year. The lateral side features “New York City” text along the New Balance logo, while the tongue comes stamped by the official NYC Marathon logo, including a Statue of Liberty graphic. Pairs are available in men’s and women’s sizes, but the design aligns best with the women’s apparel collection as seen below.

On the performance side of things, the FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4 prioritizes propulsion and energy return. The midsole boasts a geometric pattern in addition to a full-length carbon fiber plate, supported by a 40mm stack height (men’s sizes) for premium comfort suitable for fast-pace, long runs.

As mentioned, these are available now in both men’s and women’s sizes for $265. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links.
