Matt Varga While the history of the Nike Air Force 1 Low is as varied as it is long, few touches have ever been able to cut through the noise as well as “jewel” Swooshes. While the Cortez & Air Max 1 would eventually go on to rock the pearlescent branding, the AF1 still holds the strongest claim to it. 2024 has seen the silhouette recapture that signature detail, dipping into the well once again for a timeless “White/Black” arrangement.
The inky branding at the quarter of course serves as the centerpiece, but don’t sleep on some of the finer details on display with this release. Most notably, the entire upper switches to tumbled leather, a classy touch for the always street-ready silhouette. The black contrast sole makes that choice all the more striking, itself emphasized by a white stripe on the back heel and snowed out “Air” text alongside it.
