The Nike Air Force 1 Low Goes All Green In “Malachite”

Golden details keep up a flashy air.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Goes All Green In “Malachite”

Is the Air Force 1 Low the Nike shoe? Whether you accept that premise or contend that silos like the Dunk Low give it a run for its money, the AF1 never exits the spotlight for long. In kind, despite promises earlier this year that production of mainstay models would slow down, an unending stream of new colorways has kept steady all year. As we switch our calendars over to autumn, the Nike Air Force 1 Low is appearing with a vibrant colorway within those fall-ready bounds, clad in naturalistic “Malachite.”

The AF1 showcases material versatility once again in this delivery, splitting its upper between durable nylon at the base layer and textured suede above it. However, there’s no split visually, as everything on up top is clad in the titular “Malachite” emerald. Underfoot, it’s a relatively staid look, as your typical pure white midsole is matched with a translucent rubber sole one step below. A gilded dubrae and golden note son the tongue & heel branding round out the design. Though perhaps a bit more flashy than your usual Fall fare, this “Malachite” Air Force 1 should pair with any autumnal fit you roll out in the next few months, allowing some more flair than usual as we all start “really dressing.”

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Malachite” rolls out to Nike.com and select retailers in the coming weeks, commanding a $120 retail price upon arrival.
