adidas Partners With Hoop York City For The First-Ever Crazy 8 Low

The women's imprint recuts Kobe's signature.

adidas Partners With Hoop York City For The First-Ever Crazy 8 Low

Hoop York City x adidas has become an extremely sturdy relationship over the past several years. Alex Cooper’s community basketball association first came together with the Three Stripes in 2022, just four years after founding the organization, and the two partners haven’t looked back since. A crescendo in their partnership so far, the German giant is enlisting some NYC assistance for the launch of the first ever low-top Crazy 8 style, available now via adidas.com.

Understandably, this “Legend Ink” colorway doesn’t diverge too much from the trademark black & white Crazy 8 look. Jet black is swapped to the titular aquatic shade, while branding hits at the forefoot and heel refract Hoop York City’s patented aquamarine, a tacit tie to the Statue of Liberty. While unquestionably intended for on-court use, the new low-cut shape of the Crazy 8 will almost assuredly make lifestyle wear a bit easier, toning down the zany hardware of Kobe’s signature in a manner akin to the Spizike Low.

This marks the fourth adidas Hoop York City collab pair, following the Exhibit B, Dame 8 and Top Ten 2000, each accompanied by co-branded apparel pieces. The same goes for this adidas Crazy 8 Low in “Legend Ink.” It and a corresponding set of clothing options are available now on adidas.com, with the shoes retailing at $120. Extended unisex sizing is available. Grab your size via the “Where to Buy” widget below or check out full official images to get a sense before you do.
