Ludacris Throws Out First Pitch At Braves Game Wearing Giant Nike Air Force 1s

Atlanta native Ludacris was pitcher-of-honor at Truist Park on the night of September 4th, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the hometown Braves took on the visiting Colorado Rockies. The Grammy Award-winning artist and star of the Fast & The Furious franchise had arguably the best pre-game guest appearance of the season, hitting the diamond bearing over-sized arms and shoes from his iconic Get Back! music video from two decades ago.

In the iconic music video from 2004, Ludacris is seen with gigantic arms and jewelry, getting into an altercation with an annoying club-goer inside the bathroom. Those same arms made an appearance for the first pitch, but Ludacris upped the ante by wearing ginormous all-white Air Force 1s (he wore black workboots in the music video).

It’s unclear what size the shoes are, nor if Nike had any participation in this fun costume. Based on the photos, the Air Force 1s appear to scale with a standard pair of ’82s, from the design of the upper to the pattern on the bottom traction.
