Sneaker News Update: Under Armour confirms that this Curry 12 is the special edition “Curry Tour” colorway for the upcoming China Tour, and a release date is scheduled for September 13th.
The script could not have been written any better for the launch of Stephen Curry’s twelfth signature shoe, the Curry 12. With the all-time great’s late-game heroics sealing the gold medal during the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the launch of the Curry 12 “Podium Pack” was a hit as pairs of both the Home and Away cleared out immediately.
Looking ahead, the Curry Brand — a subsidiary of parent brand Under Armour — has a slew of colorways scheduled throughout the Fall/Holiday 2024 season and into the second half of the upcoming NBA campaign. The first confirmed drop will be this North America exclusive “Galaxy” colorway, decked out in a color palette that can be seen in the colorful scene of the outer limits of the universe.
The upper sees a light lavender purple with the patterned mesh upper, while the full-length Flo cushioning is doused in a pink. The exterior heel clip as well as the exposed panel on the midsole features an ethereal graphic of pinks, purples, and blues. Moving forward, the Curry design team will feature different patterns and prints on the same piece.
The UA Curry 12 “Galaxy” is set to release on September 20th on Under Armour and partnering Curry Brand retailers such as Champs, Foot Locker, Finish Line, and more. Also dropping later this year is the debut signature shoe of De’Aaron Fox — the Curry Fox 1. The Kings’ star guard is the first signature athlete under the Curry Brand.
