Jordan Bakes A Decadent Air Jordan 1 Mid “Red Velvet”

Perfect for the holidays.

Jordan Bakes A Decadent Air Jordan 1 Mid “Red Velvet”

With Labor Day marking the unofficial end of summer, brands have started to shift focus to the holidays. We’ve spilled plenty of ink on upcoming Halloween shoes, including a Jordan 1 Low with light-up cat eyes, but now looking further ahead, this women’s Air Jordan 1 Mid is perfect for Christmas.

Taken with buttery red velvet overlays and a white leather base, the shoe lends a cozy aesthetic that would surely slot in Mrs. Clause’s wardrobe seamlessly. Red and white Jordan 1s are of course inherently tied to Chicago, but the materials at play here don’t render the same heritage-focused feel as traditional all-leather pairs.

Velvet Nike and Jordan shoes are unconventional, but not unheard of. The Beaverton brand has released likeminded Jordan 1 and Air Force 1 colorways in the past to commemorate Valentine’s Day and other holidays. Notably, we’re also still waiting on the Jordan 1 Low “Black Toe Velvet” following the arrival of official images a couple months back.

The women’s Jordan 1 Mid “Red Velvet” doesn’t have a solid release date at the time of this writing, but given the shoe’s clear Christmastime aesthetic, a Holiday 2024 arrival seems likely. See official images below and tap our Jordan Release Dates page to preview more upcoming product.
