Nike Blesses Diana Taurasi With Her Own LeBron PE Release This October

Even as the WNBA playoffs tip off, there’s a bittersweet air for long-time fans: we may be in the last few days of Diana Taurasi’s legendary career. Her sheer longevity and sustained greatness often puts her at the top of GOAT conversations, a prompt that’ll sound familiar on the men’s side. It’s no coincidence that the 3-time champ has sported LeBron shoes extensively through her career, exclusively playing in James’ silhouettes over the past four seasons. In a “game recognize game” sort of release, Diana Taurasi is getting her own PE colorway of the LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD this October.

With an overall outfit reminiscent of the black & gold pair released earlier this summer, this shoe instead swaps to accent shades of Mercury purple & orange atop the jet black foundation. Embroidery in that same sunset combination stretches through the heel across both quarter panels, while reflective royal notes down the throat of the shoe further emphasize a nocturnal yet neon atmosphere. Though the LeBron 17 has been her foremost on-court choice, she’s sported the NXXT Gen on a choice occasions in the past. If she decides to give in to the “one more year” chants she recieved in the Mercury’s regular season finale, expect these to make an appearance during her 21st season.
