Simple colorways that border “Be True To Your School” aesthetics account for the most popular Nike Dunks, but the basketball-turned-lifestyle staple is also privy to embracing imaginative design themes. For its next trick, the Dunk Low adopts a theme recently spotted on the Pegasus 2K5, delivering a slew of non-traditional materials and accessories.
Starting with the add-ons, the shoe comes with a set of iron on patches; one reading “Love” and “Peace” and another featuring a Nike Inc. globe graphic. As far as the shoe itself, almost everything stands out as unique. Nike works in an upside-down tongue tag akin to Travis Scott shoes, removable green and white “Nike” patch, and script “Nike” branding on the insoles and backtab. When it comes to colors and materials, we’re getting a clear wild west feel. Standout elements include a tan corduroy tongue, light wash denim collar, waxed rope laces, and distressed brown leather toe box and quarter. Grey and brown suede overlays provide some semblance of normalcy, while a tan-brown midsole-outsole combo rounds out the delivery underfoot.
A standout rotation piece for casual cowboys and the like, the Dunk Low “Love And Peace” is expected to release sometime during the Holiday 2024 shopping season. Pricing hasn’t been made public yet, but interested buyers should expect an MSRP over the model’s typical $115 mark given all the uniqueness at play.
