The Simpsons And adidas Continue Halloween Shoe Series With The Werewolf Flanders Rivalry Low

Of the Three Stripes’ many collaborative series, the Simpsons has emerged in the past few years as one of their most reliable and one of their most creative. Minting over a dozen individual colorways since just 2021, the beloved animated sitcom and the German giant delved into new territory for Halloween ’23. Tapping into a beloved anthology series for fans of the show, they utilized the “Treehouse of Horror” for a commemorative release, and are reprising the same idea for 2024.

1999’s Treehouse of Horror X is in focus for this edition, particularly the leadoff segment where Ned Flanders is believed to be struck down by Homer Simpson on the road. Heavily utilizing plot beats from the late 90s blockbuster “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” a hooded figure taunts the Simpsons — revealed to be a werewolf version of their cheerful neighbor.

True to Ned’s one-off visage, his preppy default outfit in applied onto the Rivalry Low, with a requisite application of shag fur pouring out from the tongue, collar and Three Stripes slits at the quarter. Further references with a full-size insert of the episode’s title card, a set of commemorative pins that replicate some of the most lasting stills from the vignette and “bloody” text on the insoles.

adidas & The Simpsons’ “Werewolf Flanders” Rivalry Low drops on November 2nd via adidas.com, retailing for $130.
