Vacation season lives on.

First Look At The CNCPTS x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 “Out Of Office”

Long-time sneakerheads know that few collaborative forces in the industry are as reliable as CNCPTS. Already uniting with Sperry, New Balance, and adidas this year, the Boston mainstay is dipping back into the well with ASICS, ushering in their first take on the GEL-Kayano 14.

Oscar Castillo shares that the inspiration for this “Out Of Office” colorway derives from “the importance of listening to your body and taking a break from work in order to recharge your mind and creative spirit.” Given that, the red to green gradients that crop up through the heel counter, tongue tag, and ASICS logo showcase that “recharging process,” with full battery neon green the most eye-catching shade in that arrangement.

While the GLK has never been a slouch in terms of material quality, these shots demonstrate the heightened attention to detail in that regard; see the tumbled texture of the leather overlays or the opposing geometric patterns in the midsole.

While we don’t have a concrete release date for the ASICS x CNCPTS GEL-Kayano 14 “Out of Office,” the early word is that the collab arrives in November. With CNCPTS creative director Deon Point also teasing the pair already, expect official word sooner than later. For now, check out in-hand images embedded below.
