The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are about to meet in the World Series for the twelfth time in baseball history. The major market face-off will feature the leagues brightest stars, including the American and National League MVP favorites in Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani. Needless to say, the stage for this year’s fall classic couldn’t possibly get any brighter.

With game one scheduled for October 25th, Nike is releasing a special Dunk Low for the City of Angels in short order. As opposed to traditional Dodger blue, the design hones in on light gradient treatments inspired by Southern California skies. The National League pennant winner’s iconic interlocking “LA” logo appears as a cloud on the tongue, matched by a cloud-like Swoosh on the insoles. Meanwhile, the tongue background and quarter both work in soothing bluescale gradients.

The rest of the upper relies on grey tones, with a semi-translucent gum sole resting underfoot. When it comes to materials, Nike brings suede overlays atop a canvas toe box, quarter, and collar. Capping off the delivery with another notable element, the Swoosh logos feature a leaf-like, tactile pattern; a fitting allusion to October baseball. Notably, Nike SB dropped a Dodgers Dunk Low colorway back in 2022.

The Dunk Low “Los Angeles” is currently set to release via Nike on October 26th; right before game two at Dodger Stadium. Expect an MSRP of $125 upon arrival.
