First Look At The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Beethoven”

Coming in 2025.

First Look At The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Beethoven”

The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low has entered the Protro chat. Following the release of the “Halo” colorway in September, the model’s first daylight since 2014, we’re now hit with a first look at the “Beethoven” Protro poised to touch down next year.

As with all Kobe Bryant Protros, the shoe features the same circa 2014 design with modern performance enhancements, namely a dash of Nike React in the midsole and an extended traction pattern underfoot. As made obvious by its name, the design is inspired by Beethoven and more specifically; black and white piano keys. The German composer was one of Kobe’s many muses referenced throughout his signature sneaker line. Notably, in 2013, Kobe Tweeted: Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata calms me down when I reach my breaking point #relaxandfocus.

It’s also worth mentioning that the high-top Kobe 9 Elite (aka the original height) is also in the midst of a Protro run, with 2014’s “Christmas” colorway set to return later this year for its 10th anniversary.

The Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Beethoven” doesn’t have a solid release date this far out, but early info via @mambakixx and @solekobe suggests an April 2025 arrival. In any case, know that this page as well as our Sneaker Release Dates hub will display all the most recent info as it comes in.
