First Look At The Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts”

First Look At The Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts”

While the full scope of 2025 Jordan Releases centers around retros like the Jordan 1 ’85 Bred, we’re also going to be hit with several fresh formulations. One of them, the Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts,” just emerged via first look images.

To the uninitiated; the “Lucky Shorts” theme derives from a superstition Michael Jordan developed during his college days. After leading the North Carolina Tar Heels to victory in 1982, Mike came to believe the shorts he played in were lucky. Therefore, throughout his entire professional career, he religiously wore North Carolina practice shorts under his NBA uniform.

Naturally, the Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” harkens back to where the ritual started with UNC-adjacent colors. While hallmark “University Blue” isn’t referenced in the official color palette, the design features likeminded “Hydrogen Blue” on the lower and upper eyelets and midsole. The base is made up of “Summit White” leather, complemented by “Photon Dust” suede around the collar, eyelets, and toe and heel overlays (sorry folks, no elephant print). The heel features a “Hydrogen Blue” Jumpman logo, while a “Sail” midsole and “Photon Dust” outsole cap off the delivery underfoot.

Currently, the Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” is expected to release Summer 2025 for $200 in men’s sizing. Stick with us for updated images and release information over the coming months.
