Recent adidas Basketball signatures like the Anthony Edwards 1 and upcoming Harden Vol 9 embody a new era of Three Stripes design language; one centered around futuristic aesthetics and sleekness above all else. While certainly more under-the-radar, the German footwear giant has been bringing a similar spirit to their retro hoops product, debuting new shoes that stand as modern twists on late 1990s and early 2000s cuts.
Now highlighting three new and emerging models, adidas has unveiled the IIInfinity series. Truthfully, two of the highlighted models aren’t necessarily new. The Crazy IIInfinity and Mad IIInfinity arrived in February 2024 around NBA All-Star Weekend, both of which take after Kobe Bryant’s first ever signature shoe in the Crazy 1 (formerly called the adidas Kobe 1).
That’s to say the third model, the all-new Nova IIInfinity, is the star of the show here. The Nova boasts an inviting angular shape, crafted with suede sidewalls featuring embossed, horizontal stripes and perpendicular perforations for breathability. All three models are saddled with agreeable black, grey, and red treatments.
The adidas IIInfinity series will be available via adidas.com on November 9th, with the Nova IIInfinity retailing for $130, the Crazy IIInfinity retailing for $160, and the Mad IIInfinity commanding a $180 price tag. See detailed images of all three shoes below and take advantage of our “Where To Buy” sections for purchase links on that date.
In other November release news, read about the return of the Wu Tang Dunk.
