Sneaker News Nike is looking intently into the future of Air Max with the debut of the Air Max 1000 and Air Max DN8, but once again the classics steal the show with an outstandingly appealing colorway of the Air Max Plus “Iridescent”.
The iconic Tuned Air model designed by Sean McDowell emerges once more in its unchanged form, altered only in its colorway. However, Nike doesn’t resort to a mere swapping of shades; instead the Beaverton brand applies a new material that features a color-shifting “Iridescent” treatment. Depending on the angle, your eyes will catch purples, blues, greens, and pinks no differently than it does on an oil-slicked floor.
The remainder of this Iridescent Air Max Plus stays true to the design; a white midsole encases the Tuned Air cushioning unit, with matching white sport mesh lining the interiors of the shoes.
