The New Balance 2002R Cleans Up In Grey And Indigo

"Metallic Silver" accents appear near the quarter.

The New Balance 2002R Cleans Up In Grey And Indigo

The New Balance 2002R continues to surface in new colorways, now appearing in familiar shades of grey with subtle “Indigo” and “Metallic Silver” accents.

Official images reveal grey suede overlays throughout, but while the quarter panels opt for smooth texture, the toe and backtab feature hairy fabric. Small flashes of “Metallic Silver” leather jut out near the eyelets and forefoot, complemented by “Indigo” hits on the New Balance logo, heel, and cushioning portion of the midsole. Invisible as it may be, the only real intrigue worth calling out here lives on the tongue. A close-up look reveals embossed dots akin to Ostrich print, delivering a dash of premium-ness to the unassuming grayscale look. These also come with rope as opposed to flat laces, although that’s far from a defining quality.

New Balance hasn’t set a firm release date, but the 2002R “Grey/Metallic Silver/Indigo” is expected to arrive at New Balance and retailers in the very near future. See official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview other upcoming New Balance shoes.

Speaking of which, check out the newly-unveiled JJJJound New Balance 993.
