New Balance Uncorks “Ice Wine” On The 860v2

Understated style for the resurgent model.

New Balance Uncorks “Ice Wine” On The 860v2

It may not be the brand’s freshest formulation, but there’s no denying the renewed energy around the New Balance 860v2 in recent months. Kicking off a general release return in the middle of 2023, the model has developed collabs with Up There, Comme Des Garcon, and Aime Leon Dore in the months following, those frequent partners elucidating some new aesthetic abilities for the refreshed silhouette. Now, we return to NB creatives for a fresh spin, coating the tech runner style in “Ice Wine.”

Bucking the resplendent, eye-catching tones that typically grace tech runners of this ilk, New Balance instead executes an 860v2 with a higher focus on muted tones. The titular “Ice Wine” begins that wave on the mesh underpinnings, but the shoe’s throat also delivers the same with calm off-white. Even if there are some trademark grey tones here, they take on a cooler atmosphere than we’re typically used to, underscoring a more industrial aesthetic on the shoe’s trim, from a greyscale sole unit to the metallic toe-cap.

The New Balance 860v2 “Ice Wine” has already begun to crop up on global NB sites, indicating that a US launch is likely coming shortly for $150. Check out the official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates hub in the coming days for further updates.
