An elevated retail price for this luxury-meets-lifestyle shoe.

Converse Outfits A $300 Run Star Trainer With Swarovski Crystals

In the Nike, Inc. x Swarovski lineage, often the releases out of Beaverton take center stage — look no further than the Swarovski Jordan 1 queued up for 2025 or the Swarovski Air Max Plus collection that just hit the market. However, Converse has shown plenty of willingness to drape its models in all-over crystal treatments as well. Though 2024 has left that relationship only touched by the Converse De Luxe Squared in January, the two partners are bookending the year with a bejeweled Swarovski take on the Converse Run Star Trainer.

While the silhouette featured here unquestionably has a ton of retro DNA, note that it only made its market debut in June, a combination of “over 20 Converse models” that each played a part in Olympics past. Spinning that podium pedigree into refined luxury is accomplished naturally; the crystals affix largely to the quarter panel, creating a mosaic look with differing jewel sizes.

However, that’s not the end of the differences from mainline Converse Run Star Trainer pairs; a lifestyle-minded build of nylon, mesh, and synthetics instead swaps to suede and satin, culminating with a glittery finish on the tongue. Even if the materials at play executed a more elevated lean, the palette of “Deep Emerald” and gum ensures everyday wearability — if you’re willing to stomach pulling these out of the closet that regularly, that is.

The Swarovski Converse Run Star Trainer releases on December 13th via SNKRS, retailing for $300. The pair is also naturally listed on the Converse release calendar, but no date is set for that channel. Watch our Sneaker Release Dates for additional updates in the coming days.
