Deion Sanders’ tenure as Colorado has brought a ton of headlines, but none bigger than his stewardship over Travis Hunter, the WR/CB hybrid who represents the closest thing to Prime’s two-way ability since he left the league. However, as Hunter likely projects as a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL draft (if not higher), the parallels between player and coach are coming to an end in the endorsement world, as the Buffaloes standout has officially inked a partnership with adidas.
Though no official press has announced the deal, a quick set of photos with Hunter sporting iced-out Three Stripes gear and posing with snakeskin cleats confirm that he’ll be rocking a Trefoil for the foreseeable future. On top of the parallels between Deion and Travis, the two had been involved in several viral moments as Sanders launched a retro effort for his DT Trainer series, an additional wrinkle that makes this a coup on adidas’ part.
This continues a recent run of dominance in the Three Stripes’ US football efforts. Already boasting the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Micah Parsons, arguably the two best players on either side of the ball, this adds potentially a player who’ll be the best on both someone primed to enter the league with a ton of baked-in star power and recognizability.
While we’re expecting more fleshed out product as this partnership continues, Hunter and adidas have already hit the ground running.
